Friday evening was RELAY FOR LIFE! It's one of my favorite times of the year for many reasons. It kinda kicks off outdoor spring and summer events. I always know summer is right around the corner when it's time for Relay. Relay for Life is such an inspirational event. Knowing so many people who have been affected by cancer, two of my grandparents in particular, makes this cause so worth while. It's awesome to see so many people, young and old, join together and fight for a cure. The only downfall was it was on the soccer field and not the football field. That's ok. It still was a fabulous evening.
Saturday was PROM! Seriously it was a ton of fun. It began with Melissa doing my hair and makeup. Normally she tells me I am her most difficult client but I was quite easy to get along with on Saturday. I didn't complain about how she was fixing it or anything. That's why I love Melissa though. She lets me tell her if I don't like it, and she'll fix it. She's the best. Go her.
Then it was time to go to Spartanburg! Woo hoo! Mom followed me to take pictures and help me get dressed. She's the best mother in the world. Really. Don't try to tell me she's not or your mom is better. NO. Kathy wins.
Then we got to Paul's house and I put my dress on and all that jazz. Did the picture thing there and headed out into the heat to Nick's house to take many more pictures. About a hundred pictures later, we all get ready to leave. Then everyone discovers they have left their prom tickets at their houses. Before dinner, everyone had to stop and pick up their tickets so we could get into the dance. Then we went and ate dinner at Lieu's and it was very lovely. We had a fantastic time. After dinner, we went into downtown Greenville.... that was an adventure. We got sightly lost but never fear, Nic got us downtown safely and we walked around and took some pictures on this pretty bridge. Then it was time to go to prom itself. We got there but we didn't stay very long because it was 3908390403 degrees. Literally. So we then went back to Paul's house to get our stuff to go to Nic's. While we were there, Molly introduced me to chocolate soy milk. Thanks girl! We changed and then went to Nic's and went swimming and stayed at his house. When we woke up, Mrs. Hasty made breakfast. We had a lovely time.
Sunday afternoon, we went to eat dinner for Paul's grandpa. He's such a sweet man and we ate Wades. :) Yummmmmy. Then it was time for me to go home, :( but it was ok because it was soon time for LEGALLY BLONDE THE MUSICAL! *snaps*
Mom of the year, Stephanie, Brett, Sara Ashley, Mrs. Gedie, and myself went to Ruby Tuesday's to eat. They were unusually SLOOOOOOW. I was growing very impatient because I was ready to see the show. Once we finally filled our stomachs, we went to Ovens to see the show! It really was, as they call it, an "elle" of a show! I had seen it in New York and it was a little more elaborate but hey, mad props still! During the show we had some... flamboyant individuals sitting beside us. They were freaking HILARIOUS. The one thing I missed in this show was Orfeh as Paulette. She can sing the HECK out of Ireland. Snaps though Natalie Joy Johnson still.
Then we stage doored! Wooooo Hooooo! We met Becky who played Elle! I don't have my playbill in front of me so I do not have everyone's name. Natalie Joy Johnson was Paulette and we met her and Lauren Zarkin who was on 'The Search for Elle Woods' Snaps to the cast! It was great!
Classes are OVER! Two exams! One Paper! Summer is here!
So cute :)
