Exhibit A: Brittany Johnson. As I am typing this she goes.... "blahhhhhhhhh." She is an Anti-Valentine's Day Supporter!
But whether you love it or you hate it, it comes around regardless. This year, Valentine's Day for Katherine Anne Roberts was pretty enjoyable. It began on the Wednesday night before Valentine's Day. It was the world famous Valentine's Banquet at First Baptist Church. There were some great acts! My dad was the MC. Mr. Barnes sang "We Ain't Got Dame" from South Pacific. My mom and Cindi Vincent sang "Friendship", Dr. Still did a hilarious one man act. Several youth sang different solos. A group sang "Super Troupers" from Mamma Mia. And there were even more!
Sara Ashley and myself sang 'Popular' from Wicked. We made her green so she could play Elphaba and I wore a pink(ish) dress. We looked completely adorable. I started losing my voice on Saturday and by Tuesday, I could not talk. It was nothing short of a miracle that I was able to sing. It went pretty well considering and we had a ton of fun!
Then we get to February 14th! Paul, his parents, and Molly met my parents and me at Outback! He surprised me with flowers and candy. :) He's the best boyfriend in the world. It made for a very lovely Valentine's Day.
